During the pandemic electronic payments for online transactions became an even more pronounced and plausible option. More than ever, and at an unprecedented rate, e-commerce payment systems are increasingly popular due to online shopping and e-banking.

The convenience of electronic payment systems is that businesses can have their operations anywhere they are allowed to, with less geographical limitations (Gundaniya, n.d.). Having to stay at home, electronic systems are the future of monetary and bitcoin payment. With several e-payment solutions supporting online transactions (Gundaniya, n.d), the fluidity of business and product from merchant to customer is becoming ever more galvanized.

However, fraudulent activity and loopholes within online security systems remain a major concern. E-commerce website developers have to ensure that online retail transactions are strong and safe. Which is why there are a number of electronic payment systems to choose from.

Types of electronic payment systems

Without needing the physical entities of checks or cash, these are some of the different options available to carry out digital transactions:

The sheer logistics, technology, automation, GPS tracking systems, and authentication methods used in the shipping of goods is innumerable. As digital buyers, we keep this labour-and-profit intensive industry thriving, while we happily unpack the item we ordered yesterday.
